Hindawi, a commercial publisher of medical literature, published a study about the relation between curcumin and diabetes. The study mentions that curcumin could favorably affect most of the leading aspects of diabetes, including insulin resistance, hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, and pancreas cells apoptosis and necrosis. In addition, curcumin could prevent the deleterious complications of diabetes. However, curcumin shows extremely low bioavailability after oral administration. Nano liposomal curcumin is recommended to improve bioavailability and stability.
