Let’s hesperidin fight liver cancer!

A German multinational publishing company, Springer, shared the research article about the therapeutic effects of hesperidin on hepatocellular carcinoma. Hesperidin, grapefruit extract, has a cytotoxic effect to induce hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2) apoptosis via both mitochondrial and death receptor pathways. Thus, hesperidin is beneficial and can be developed as an anticancer drug or food supplement to treat hepatic cancer. To maximize health benefits of hesperidin, the use of nano liposomal hesperidin is recommended in order to increase its bioavailability.

Springer สำนักพิมพ์เยอรมันแชร์บทความวิจัยเกี่ยวกับผลการรักษาของเฮสเพอริดินต่อมะเร็งตับ เฮสเพอริดิน (Hesperidin) เป็นสารสกัดจากผลไม้จำพวกส้มทั้งหลาย มีฤทธิ์เป็นพิษต่อเซลล์มะเร็ง เพราะว่ากระตุ้นให้เซลล์มะเร็งตับ (HepG2) เข้าสู่กระบวนการทำลายตัวเอง ผ่านทางไมโตคอนเดรียและตัวรับมรณะ หรือ death receptor ดังนั้นเฮสเพอริดินจึงมีประโยชน์มาก ๆ สำหรับภารกิจนี้ และยังอาจสามารถพัฒนาไปเป็นยาต้านมะเร็ง หรืออาหารเสริมเพื่อรักษามะเร็งตับได้ในอนาคต แต่เพื่อให้ร่างกายได้รับประโยชน์จากเฮสเพอริดินมากที่สุด การใช้ ‘นาโนไลโปโซมอลเฮสเพอริดิน’ เพื่อเพิ่มการดูดซึมถือว่าตอบโจทย์
